Subject:  Interviews with Army Officers by Mr. A. Wade Wells on the Subject of the Genesis of the Army Jeep.

 

To:  All Public Relations Officers.

 

1. The bearer of this letter is Mr. A. Wade Wells, who is currently gathering material for articles and a book on the genesis of the Army jeep.

 

2. The War Department Bureau of Public Relations is familiar with the outline of this project and will appreciate any cooperation you can give him.  The War Department had no objection to his interviewing offices and men of the Army on the subject of the genesis of the Army jeep, providing such interviews meet with the approval of persons to be interviewed and with their Commanding Officers.

 

3.  All material on the subject written by Mr. Wells will be reviewed by the War Department Bureau of Public Relations prior to publication.

 

4.  This letter does not constitute a blank clearance for Mr. Wells to gather other material than his stated project, the genesis of the Army jeep.
